NSWOC® Program Application Information
Who can apply?
Acceptance into the program is competitive.
Eligible applicants must be Baccalaureate prepared Registered Nurses or Nurse Practitioners with a minimum of 2 years of full-time employment within Canada in the last 3 years as a Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Practitioner, in a clinically relevant area of practice (for example: medical surgical nursing, clinical home care nursing, spinal cord rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation etc.).
Please note– Applicants who completed their Baccalaureate Degree outside of Canada or the United States must submit a formal credential evaluation completed by a recognized Canadian Credential Evaluation Service.
Applications are received twice per year in the English program and once per year in the French program.

Important Dates and Deadlines
Students MUST begin with the Ostomy Management course as the first course of each cohort.
Acceptance into the program is competitive. Applications are received twice per year in the English program and once per year in the French program.
Please follow the application procedures below carefully, and complete and submit all materials for application by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
All completed applications will only be reviewed after the application deadline regardless of when your application is completed.
Offers of admission will be emailed after the application deadline date.

Entrance to the program is competitive. After you register with NSWOCC as an NSWOC Student Associate, please follow the application procedures carefully, and complete and submit all materials for application by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Tuition Update for Winter 2026 NSWOC Program Cohort
Please note that beginning with the Winter 2026 intake (Cohort 40) of the NSWOC Program, academic tuition fees will be updated as follows for all new applicants:

Previous Tuition: $5,250 total
($1,750 per course – Wound, Ostomy, Continence) -
New Tuition (Effective Winter 2026): $6,000 total
($2,000 per course – Wound, Ostomy, Continence)

Learn in small classes with flexible enrolment, building strong relationships with colleagues and specialists from across Canada online and in clinical settings.
Care to be the best by graduating from the most rigorous academic and clinical wound, ostomy and continence education program available (225 hours of supervised clinical placement). Lead wound, ostomy and continence management in any Canadian Healthcare setting including acute care, rehabilitation, community care and long-term care.
